School of Professional And Continuing Education (SPACE)
School of Professional and Continuing Education or better known as SPACE was established in accordance to the government’s call to increase the number of quality human resource in the country. SPACE provides an alternative path in education to give opportunities to those lacking the chance to follow the mainstream education system.
SPACE offered professional development programmes such as short courses, seminars, workshops and in-house training. However, with the overwhelming demands for part-time educational programmes among workers in both private and public sectors, SPACE took the initiative of offering mainstream academic programmes on a part-time basis starting from the academic year 2000/01. Currently, the Part-Time Academic Programmes are offering the courses at Advance Diploma and Diploma level, according to the courses offered by the School of Engineering. For student’s convenience, the classes are conducted in the evening or over the weekend.

SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME
This programmes focuses on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need identified by the society and for further continuation in your higher education. It is open to all SPM leavers that are still finguering out which course paths to take.
It is a three (3) months programme that focus on the following modules
- Introduction to Information Technology (IT)
- Introduction to World of Design
- Enterprise Creation
- Craftsmanship in Hospitality Industry
- English Lessons
After the study of this programmes, students can then be able to know of which field of study was of interest to them and they can apply to study the chosen academic proagramme, that is; diploma, or Foundation, or Degree, basing on their SPM results.
